Introduction

Since 2005, 32 players in Major League Baseball have been suspended for performance enhancers, that is the most by any professional sport. No sport is perfect, every sport has some sort of drug using issue that needs to be addressed, but i pick on MLB because it that biggest growing problem. Our decade has been labeled as the steroid era, which already presents a problem. I'm not as disappointed in the steroid use as much as people are now not caring anymore because they love their favorite players. Another reason why i think MLB is becoming a problem in society is that is literally encourages its players to be disloyal to their original teams. It wants the biggest named players to go to the biggest market so more people can have a chance of watching them. Perfect example is that it seems every star, after his contract is over, wants to side with Yankees or Red Sox and that's how its been for awhile. This on going departure of superstars from small market teams gives these teams no chance of winning a world series for years to come as well.

I've watched perfessional sports since i could turn on a TV. Sports is my true hobby and what i like to do on my spare time. I enjoy all sports and true sport talent and I have dedicated my profession to have something to do with sports. Professional sports portrays the best talent in the world, but their are problems in all sports that shows fraud and lies. I see the biggest and most growing problem in Major League Baseball. The past 15 years have been known has the steroid era and it is clear why. Some of what people call the greatest players to ever play have admitted to taking some sort of steroid, Babe Ruth, Mark Mcquiere, Sammy Sosa, Alex Rodriguez. It teaches young ones that its really ok to do these drugs, if your great.

Working thesis statement

There is, at some level, a problem in every professional sport. Pure sports are turning into business trips instead of games and it controls peoples ambitions and goals. I pick on Major League Baseball because i see a rapidly growing problem that encourages disloyalty, and shows a progression of cheating that fans have grown accustom too.
